The AWEMA AG is today present in over 40 countries around the globe. We permanently employ approximately 60 people at our headquarters at Oberneunforn (TG), near Zurich, Switzerland.

Since founded in 1975 AWEMA stands for cutting-edge technology und innovative concepts. Today we are focusing on latest drive technology, PC-based process control and applying and expanding our knowledge in Linux based realtime-systems.


1975: Initial steps: AWEMA AG evolves from the vision of developing computer-controlled weighing systems for industrial applications. Within the following years the early developer team build the world's first computer-driven weighing machine.

1978: Launch and mass production of custom-built production equipment especially for the confectionery industry.

1980: The AWEMA AG develops to an important market player for complete weighing and packaging solutions.

1983: The first multi-headed weighing system is introduced.

1986: First can filling machine developed.

1987: Design of the first turnkey production and filling plants.

1992: Development of the first fully-automated production line for hollow chocolate items and liqueur filled pralines.

1993: Carton filling- and packaging machines.

1994: The introduction of the first One-Shot depositing system, the UDM-202, makes the AWEMA AG to a market leader in the industrial application of the One-Shot technology.

1995: A new generation of linear weighers is available: fully-automated, intelligent and self-learning.

1997: Introduction of the more economic depositing machine MINI-101 especially for smaller businesses.

1998: Shipping of the first demoulding machine for the confectionery industry.

1999: Porting efficient and reliable technology from the automotive industry to develop the decorating robot ARTIST-212.

2001: Introduction of the depositing machine UDM-303. Until today this is one of the most powerful depositing machines available on the market.

2003: New drive technology establishes itself: the servo-driven UDM-222 stands out as being extremely low-maintenance.

2005: New generation of demoulding machines are available.

2006: The portfolio of depositing machines is extended by the UDM-111, a depositing machine specifically designed for smaller to medium businesses.

2008: The portfolio of depositing machines is extended by the MICRO-100.

2009: New UDM101 introduced. Medium Capacity Machine with the same Advantages and Features of the bigger UDM-Family-Machines.

2010: Remote Access through internet connection established for AWEMA Multi Lines and Machines.

2011: New Eco-Line introduced. Most flexible but yet econimical Production line with a small footprint.

2016: Move to new headquarters at Oberneunforn TG. Modern and spacious factory for AWEMA AG and Blumer AG.

2017: NEW UDM111 with upto 4-independent Piston Axis to produce even more high-grade pralines .
